Tyrelessly, an online tyre recycling business launched by 16 year-old Delhi resident Anubhav Wadhwa, aims to collect tyres for free and generate revenue from pyrolysis and online advertising. The company, which was founded in December 2015, launched its web platform on 8 January 2016.

Describing the business model, Wadhwa said: “We are not charging anyone any money. The revenue will come from advertisements later when the site starts getting traffic.” He said that 450 litres of fuel, 150 litres of petroleum gas and 75 kilograms of steel. At the same time, 250 kilos of carbon can be produced from 1,000 kilos of end of life tyres.

The tyres are recycled at recycling plants through pyrolysis process, which is the business’s main income driver, according to Wadhwa: “The company can generate revenue from the sale of these by-products of tyres. I aim to boost tyre recycling rates in at least 100 communities, grow to one million members and help launch new programmes in communities all across India,” he told local newspapers.
